Welcome to the blog ” Beatles Let It Be ”. In this blog we will be discussing the life and times of the greatest band in the world…"The Beatles", their "Let It Be" album and song, and some of the history of the band as well. Come along for our "Magical Mystery Tour" ride…
The Beatles were a popular musical group formed in Liverpool, United Kingdom in 1960. It consisted of John Lennon (playing rhythm guitar), Paul McCartney (playing bass guitar), George Harrison (playing lead guitar), and Ringo Star (playing drums). Each of the members sang on various songs at various times.
In the beginning, back in March 1957 to be more exact, John Lennon formed a skiffle group called “The Quarrymen”. Paul saw them perform at a church function one day, and joined the group on July of the same year. In March, 2008, George was invited by his friend Paul to see the group perform, and not long after he had joined as the lead guitarist. Finding a drummer was to prove to be a much more formidable task. After drummer changes, and much turmoil we might add, the group settled upon Ringo Star.
In the early years the group perfected their skills and craft in the nightclubs of Hamburg, Germany. Back in Liverpool they performed at the Cavern Club, and their popularity gradually grew.
In January, 1962 the Beatles signed Brian Epstein, a local supporter, to become their manager. He eventually took them to George Martin, a producer at EMI, who eventually signed them to a recording contract.
With their single "Love Me Do", the Beatles entered the UK’s record charts. A subsequent single, “Please please me” was met with much greater support and enthusiasm. With the song “From Me To You” they were on their way to dominating the record charts, and the public’s hearts as well.
Their domination of the US market was to be delayed for various reasons. Eventually, in December, 1963 to be more exact, Capitol Records released “I Want to Hold Your Hand”, and the Beatles domination of the US market was on it’s way as well.
So, with the UK and the US out of the way, what's next? Domination of the world of course! In the years to come the Beatles did either one tour or one concert in Denmark, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, and back in the US.
As the years progressed, and time went on, cracks in the group started to appear. Their final studio album, “Abbey Road”, was recorded in the summer of 1969. The last time all four Beatles were together at one time, in the same studio, was during the recording of the song “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)”.
On September 20, 1969 John announced his departure from the group to his fellow band members. This fact was not made known to the general public until a number of legal matters were resolved. Paul put the "final nail in the coffin of the group" so to speak when he filed a suit for the dissolution of the band on December 31, 1970. This dissolution finally took effect in 1975.
Here at ” Beatles Let It Be ” we are committed to promoting the legacy of this great musical group. Welcome one and all. We do welcome your thoughts and comments.

On May 8, 1970 the Beatles released their 12th and final studio album…“Let It Be”. Due to the formidable tension between the band members at the time, the rehearsals and recording sessions were squabbling filled occasions.
Here is a list of the songs on the Beatles Let It Be Album:
Side #1
1. “Two of Us” (composed by Lennon/McCartney). On this song John Lennon played acoustic guitar, Paul McCartney played the acoustic guitar, and George Harrison played the six-string bass guitar.
2. “Dig a Pony” (composed by Lennon/McCartney)
3. “Across the Universe” (composed by Lennon/McCartney). John Lennon played acoustic guitar while George Harrison played the tamboura.
4. “I Me Mine” (composed by Harrison). Paul McCartney played the Hammond organ and electric piano and George Harrison played the acoustic guitar.
5. “Dig It” (composed by Lennon/McCartney/Harrison/Starkey). John Lennon played the six-string bass guitar while Paul McCartney played the piano.
6. “Let It Be” (composed by Lennon/McCartney). John Lennon played the six-string bass guitar with Paul McCartney on piano.
7. “Maggie Mae” (arrangement by Lennon/McCartney/Harrison/Starkey). John Lennon played acoustic guitar, Paul McCartney played the acoustic guitar, and George Harrison played the six-string bass guitar.
And on…
Side #2
1. “I’ve Got a Feeling” (composed by Lennon/McCartney)
2. “One After 909” (composed by Lennon/McCartney)
3. “The Long and Winding Road” (composed by Lennon/McCartney). John Lennon played the six-string bass guitar with Paul McCartney on the piano.
4. “For You Blue” (composed by Harrison). John Lennon played lap steel guitar, Paul McCartney played the piano, and George Harrison played the acoustic guitar.
5. “Get Back” (composed by Lennon/McCartney). John Lennon played lead guitar.
Many people don't realize that additional musicians were also used on the record. These artists included Richard Anthony Hewson, George Martin, and Billy Preston. Linda McCartney, Paul's wife, sang backing vocals on the song “Let It Be”, but it was uncredited on the album sleeve.
Background
By late 1968 Paul McCartney was feeling that the group should get back into the recording studio. He wanted them to develop an album that made little or no use of “studio magic”. His feelings at the time were that this would allow the group to get back to their roots, and thereby lessen tensions within the band. Sadly, this was not to be…
Finishing Touches
In March, 1970 the session tapes of the actual recordings were given to Phil Spector, an American record producer who had a reputation for inventing the “Wall of Sound”. When he was done with his magic, the album itself was released on May 8, 1970. The Beatles had already broken up by that time.
McCartney was very unhappy with the version that Spector had created and subsequently released. One point in particular, his song “The Long and Winding Road”, which McCartney had intended to be a simple ballad on the piano, had grown into a complex song with orchestral and choral accompaniment. He tried to halt the release of this version of the song, but was unsuccessful in his attempts.
Reception
“Let It Be” met originally with mixed reviews when it was released. This reaction has “mellowed” over the years.

The song “Let it Be” was released by the Beatles in March 1970 as both a single, and as the title track of their new album “Let It Be”. The single reached #1 in the U.S., Australia, Norway, Italy and Switzerland. It's interesting to note that it only made it up to #2 in the United Kingdom.
——————————————————————————————————————————
——————————————————————————————————————————
This song was credited to Lennon/McCartney, but it is generally accepted to be the sole work of Paul McCartney. It was the final single released by the Beatles while they were still considered to be an "active band".
McCartney has said that the idea for the song "Let It Be" came after he had a dream about his mother. This was during the time of those memorably tense recording sessions for the “White Album”. It was Paul's own mother, who died of cancer when he was 14 years old, that was the inspiration for the “Mother Mary” character in the song. Paul has said that the dream was a blessing, and it was great to see his dear mother again. In the dream his mother issued the words “It will be all right, just let it be”. This made it's way into the song.
The first recording of the Beatles Let It Be song was on January 3, 1969 at Twickenham Film Studios. One single take was recorded, with just one Beatle, Paul, on piano and vocals. The first group attempt of the song was on January 8, 1969. The multi-track recordings of the song started on January 23, 1969 at Apple Studios.
On March 26, 1970 the American producer Phil Spector did a remix of the song for inclusion in the “Let It Be” album. His version featured:
- the January 4, 1970 guitar solo (except on the first chorus)
- an echo on Ringo’s cymbals
- and like he did on “The Long and Winding Road”, a more prominent orchestra
Allen Klein had Phil Spector mix the “Let It Be” album without telling Paul McCartney, or asking for his agreement on this matter. He did this because he did not sign Klein’s management contract. Paul later complained that he was not happy with Phil Spector’s production of the song.
Here’s the breakdown of the actual performers on the song:
- Paul McCartney – played piano, maracas, as well as both lead and backing vocals.
- John Lennon – Fender Bass VI.
- George Harrison – lead guitar.
- Ringo Starr – drums.
- Linda McCartney – backing vocals (only on the single release version).
- Bill Preston – organ and electric piano.
The “Let It Be” song has generally received positive critical acclaim overall. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine honored it by ranking it as #20 on it’s list of the “500 Greatest Songs of All Time”.

Have you heard of Brian Samuel Epstein before? Many people consider him the "Fifth Beatle". He was the manager of the Beatles from January 24, 1962 until his death on August 27, 1967. He also managed other musical artists, such as Gerry & The Pacemakers, Cilla Black, Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas, and the Remo Four, but the Beatles were by far the most popular group he managed.
![]() |
| Beatles Lyrics – Let It Be Big and Tall Lounge Pants for men |
What was the impact of Brian Epstein on the group? Huge!!! He has long been attributed to the success of the Beatles, especially in the early years. In the words of Paul McCartney, “If anyone was the Fifth Beatle, it was Brian”. That about says it all doesn't it?
Brian was born on September 19, 1934 in Liverpool, England. At the age of 16 he expressed his desire to become a dress designer, but his father was mortified at this suggestion. He ordered him to “report for duty” at the family’s furniture shop. This was not Brian’s idea of a meaningful career, but he did comply with his father's wishes (demands).
Supposedly the first time Brian heard of the name "The Beatles" was via the issues of the Mersey Beat, and on the numerous posters that were displayed around Liverpool at that time. On November 9, 1961 he heard them perform live at the Cavern Club. He was immediately impressed with their sound, and their brand of “on stage” humor, it all started from there. The Beatles signed a "5 year contract" for Brian to manage them on January 24, 1962.
This was to be the first time that Brian entered into the arena of “artist management”, but he did have his ideas. He made his impact on their early dress-code, and the attitude that they displayed on stage. He encouraged the group to wear suits, and stopped them from smoking, swearing, drinking or eating onstage. Remember the synchronized bow at the end of the Beatles performances? It was Brian who suggested that move.
Brian made many trips to London on behalf of the Beatles, trying to secure a recording contract for them. He was rejected by many labels. This list includes:
- Columbia
- Philips
- Pye
- Oriole
- Decca
The Decca audition in particular is a historic one. We will be discussing this famous session in another post. Eventually Brian worked his way over to the company EMI, and they were eventually signed by their Parlophone label after the group had been rejected by almost every other company. George Martin, the A&R manager of Parlophone (who had never even see the Beatles play by-the-way) said it was Brian’s enthusiasm that won the deal.
Brian died on August 27, 1967 of a drug overdose. The Beatles did not attend the funeral as they wanted to give his family privacy. They felt that their attendance would only have drawn the media and fans. Years later, in 2008 to be exact, the first contract that the Beatles signed with Brian was auctioned off for 240,000 pounds…

There are many common interceptions about the head voice. First, is it a subscribe that originates in your head? The head voice and other vocal registers emerged constant place and it is not your head!
Vocal registers come from vocal folds. At the edges of the vocal folds vibrations create the vibrancy that is felt high in the head – the head voice.
Another misunderstanding is that the head voice is for female singers only. While the head voice is a need for all female singers it is also significant for male singers.
The head voice in male singers doesn't sound the same as the one in female singers.
Learning to use your head voice is an important part of developing your vocal scale. You may think you cannot hit high notes or, high notes are out of your scale. This is usually the result of singing pop music that has a limited range.
Learning to use your head voice provides you the opportunity to broaden your repertoire. It is a technique that you must practice.
For some genres the head voice is a must – classical singers have to be able to access their head voice. The soprano, the mezzo, and the contralto all have to make use of their head voice every time they sing.
Here are some tips on finding your head voice:
*Imitate a bird. Make the 'hoot-hoot' sound of the owl or the 'cuckoo' sound of the cuckoo bird. When you make the sound softly exhale two high sounds. They can be any pitch. Observe how the exhalations feel.
*With this next exercise you will sing 'la,la,la'. First, sing the sounds on A/F/ and G below middle C. Sing these in your regular voice.
*Sing the letter 'N' while keeping your mouth sealed. Simultaneously place your hand over your nostrils. You can actually feel the vibration on your nostrils.
*Imagine you are smiling as you hit for high notes. This will help you enjoy your head voice.
*The most important idea is practice. The head voice can only be learned with continuous practice. Do not strain your voice by trying to hit notes outside your range.
Slowly work your way up the scale and feel you're the resonance of your head voice with practice.

Moreover, many a times, there are requests from the clients in the wedding to do some special jigs. Are you searching for great new tips to develop your vocal range? All singers understand that success comes with developing and increasing their singing range. It is significant for a vocalist to hit the high notes effortlessly.
Let's start with the basics:
*Vocal Range – Discover your personal vocal range – the range within which you are currently easy singing with no putting a tension on your voice. You must know your current range if you want to expand it!
To find your current range begin with the middle C note and step down on the level by half-notes until your voice is no longer comfortable and you can never produce a crisp and clear note/tone.
Do similar exercise for your high range. When you stop you will instantly know where you have to begin expanding your range. Ranges consist of soprano, alto, tenor, bass.
*Do Not Push – Do not strain your voice by pushing too far, too fast. It is probable to increase or decrease one to two steps over many months with dedicated practice.
Nevertheless, you will put your vocal chords at risk if you aspire to expand your scale to an octave in two months!
Athletes effort to build their muscles. As a vocalist, you will also work over an interval to slowly build vocal strength. This is known as conditioning your voice. It gives your voice power and amazing flexibility.
* Vocal Warm Ups – Again, like athletes, a vocalist need to warm up vocal muscles to prevent damage. Warm ups stretch the vocal muscles and prepare them for singing. This is very important for anyone hoping to expand their vocal range.
* Play Back – Most people do not like to hear their own voices and singers are no exception when it comes to home recordings.
Now, let's proceed to some intriguing tips:
*Scales – Sing the scales. If you are progressing with a higher range, work up the scale, lower ranges can perform lower. It is best to vary back and forth and exercise all the vocal muscles.
*Don't Forget the Diaphragm – Do not forget that you must use your diaphragm when singing. If you are not having the results you feel you should it may be that you are not using your complete diaphragm.
*Practice, Practice, Practice – Practice is the only way your range will increase over time. It is suggested that you practice for 5 hours every week.
If you spend lower than five hours practicing you will not make enough progress and will not build up muscles.
On the other hand, do not damage your voice by over-practicing. It is simple for someone to get very excited about expanding their vocal range and start their program with guns blazing. Extending your range does not happen overnight, but it is a pleasurable journey!
Learn to Sing NOW! Hit those high notes with ease, increase your singing voice and awe your audience with your powerful singing voice! Learn the basics of singing and start your Journey in becoming a PRO!

Classical music is not as popular as it was when it was the only musical choice. These days, for more people, the words "classical music" evoke memories of Bach and the school band.
This kind of music has been around forever. A great number of musical instruments and a variety of other components are required to make classical music. The majority of listeners of this music really enjoy the intricacies that are inherent in classical music.
Classical can be simple or complex depending on what the composer was feeling at the time they were writing it.
Research suggests that health problems including high blood pressure and stress can be improved by listening to classical music.
Many of the tones in classical music are in the high-frequency range. Studies indicate that high-frequency tones send signals that stimulate areas of your brain, resulting in better health.
Low-frequency sounds, by contrast, can have a deleterious effect on health, by depressing certain brain functions. Most music that people listen to today is made up of sounds that are in the low-frequency range of tones.
It's not uncommon these days for a woman to place headphones on her belly in order to play classical music for the benefit of the fetus. Research indicates that unborn children possibly retain memory of the music that they have heard after they are born.
The reason for this is that classical music consists of a variety of complicated patterns and sounds.
This kind of music can be heard in many places. Book sellers, eating establishments, and the radio all play classical music.
Despite the complexity of the music, classical can help provide a more positive outlook. Many people find it calming and soothing.
Classical music is not subject to the changes in tastes and trends that modern popular music is. It will always have a place in our culture.

There were a lot of hot songs that came out this summer. Among them were 10 that were most popular. To keep the radio sizzling along with the temperatures the artists brought out steaming sounds that hit the airwaves this month. You can either hear them by purchasing the CD, new movie soundtracks or downloading the tracks online.
Starting with number ten on the list, this is a track from the hit sequel, Sex and the City 2 which was released right at the end of May. The song is called "Love is Your Color" by Leona Lewis & Jennifer Hudson. Hudson was part of the first Sex and the City acting as Carrie's personal assistant. This dream collaboration can be found on the Sex and the City II soundtrack. Both singers share backgrounds in reality shows such as American Idol and X-Factor. Lewis won the British competition in 2006, and Hudson was among the top 10 finalists in American Idol.
You've heard #9 a lot this year. It's "Say Ahh" by Trey Songz, the perfect song during a Ladies' Night for your girlfriend's birthday outing. "Go girl! It's ya birthday!" This latest hit single brings the same type of heat that 50 Cent's "In Da Club" brought to the clubs and radio stations. Both praise a woman and her birthday encouraging her to party and celebrate life. At #8 we have one very eclectic new artist. Lady Gaga is one of the most popular artists out right now. For Summer 2010 she released the track "Alejandro". Her Fame Monster CD was released Christmas 2009 including this hit single along with "Bad Romance" and "Telephone". Her tour continues across the states. Jason Derulo is the singer of the #7 song "In My Head". He'll be in your head all summer with this catchy tune about summer love. Derulo praises his girl using a summer smash hit.
Our Top 6th song of Summer 2010 is "Break Your Heart" by Taio Cruz and Ludacris. Whenever Ludacris is featured on a track it's bound to be popular. "Break Your Heart" was played on The Hills when Brody showed up at the club with a date in front of his ex-girlfriend. Besides on MTV's Hills, they play the upbeat track all the time on the radio. It made it to the TOP 10 so that would explain why. Number 5 is a personal favorite. It's titled "Cooler Than Me" by Mike Poshner. This song is great for summertime on the beach or riding with the top down. Poshner's unique voice and spicy lyrics set the mood for any summer party. Will.I.Am and Usher team up for the #4 song on the list. The Prince of R&B has been making his return with new tracks like "Lil Freak" and "There Goes My Baby" along with this one: "OMG". Our #4 on the list talks about love-at-first-sight, in the club. Usher's last big summer hit was "Yeah" in 2006 which took the industry by storm.
As we reach the top of the list "Airplanes" by BOB featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore falls at #3. If you've ever wished for something to happen bad enough then you can relate to this track. It captures that essence brilliantly. The #2 song is "Getting Over You". Together Willis and Fergie sound great on this inescapably catchy track which has summer fun written all over it. DJ Guetta has managed to mix his own twenty-first century sound with the best part of mid-90s club music. Finally, topping the list at numero uno is Katy Perry's "California Gurls". You can probably remember the first time you heard it. The song has quickly become the west coast anthem as Perry paints the picture of life on the beach in Cali. Lyrics like "daisy dukes with bikinis on top" describes the beach atmosphere in this 2010 summer hit. It's definitely one you'll want to jam on a sunny summery day.
They just keep on coming out with great singles, and you'll probably agree that each of these tracks are somewhere among the top of the season! Well you can also have them at your very own discretion and more by using Convert My Tube. Any song or video that you like on You Tube can be converted to an mp3 within minutes using the You Tube downloader. Bands for hire are the best way to spend your entertainment budget. Live music is for hire anywhere in the country.
A DJ with CD's or recordings is certainly entertaining if you hire the right one. A band playing the music live, though, is the way to go. Weddings and Bar Mitzvahs, to mention a few, are places where the live music is a big part of the fun. The emcee, which may be part of the band, will make comments and help guide the festivities.
When the action seems to be lulling, they can play something to super charge the mood. They'll get everybody up and dancing again. If it gets a bit too rowdy, they can play something quiet and make it a time for a couple of romantic slow dances. Since they are playing live, they can decide what might be appropriate for the moment.
The more experienced popular bands cost quite a bit more than others. You will be able to book a lesser known band that is also very professional for less. Know ahead of time what you are able to spend on your entertainment.
Although weddings and bar mitzvahs are most common for live band gigs, there are many other possibilities. Consider hiring live for a class reunion or a family reunion picnic. What could be more memorable than to see Great Aunt Martha dancing hip hop with your little cousin Jacob.
In the case of a class reunion party, ask the potential band if they play 70's music if the class graduation occurred in the 70's. Ethnic and religious ceremonies and special events have some specific songs that are considered a tradition and will be very much part of the celebration. When hiring your entertainment, be sure to ask the band if they can play those songs for you. A techno band is lots of fun, but if your wedding guests expect to dance the Chicken Dance you don't want to disappoint them.
A good band, although not always the most expensive, may need to be booked well in advance of your event. The best ones always get word of mouth advertising that fills up their calendar quickly. Don't fret, though, if you don't get the exact band you wanted because they are already booked. You can handle in a few ways. If your event date is flexible and you just have to have THAT band, go ahead and change the date if possible.
The band you just have to have isn't available, but your hall is booked and the date is set. Try hiring a newly formed band that may be great, but just doesn't have the exposure and advertising yet. You can look at it as though you have started something. This band will be something fresh and different than what everyone else has at their parties.
A booking agent or an event planner can help you to make the best choice for your event. If you are on a very limited budget, try hiring a band directly. Whichever way you find bands for hire, just be sure the band will play what you and your guests expect to hear.

Welcome to my history of the violin article. The violin history runs for centuries as an instrument that is used in various musical genres like classical, pop, jazz and country. It is a small, hollow stringed instrument with a long neck and four strings tuned from low to high; with each note having a perfect fifth to the one below it. This article covers the history of the violin. If you want to learn how to play the violin like a master go to this Violin Master Pro Site
The violin is made of many different kinds of wood where the top is usually made of spruce while the sides and back are usually of maple. The fingerboard of the violin is usually made of ebony; however, sometimes ivory is also used. Violin strings were originally made of gut but is today made of different types of materials. Different kinds of violin string also give different tones and sound quality. Some violin strings also stay in tune, and last longer than others. Violin strings are today usually metal, synthetic core or gut strings.
Metal violin strings produce pure, clear and loud tones and are quite easy to play. Beginners and intermediate violin players prefer using steel core strings. The synthetic core violin strings are made of the nylon perlon. They produce more subtler sounds than metal strings and dont have to be tuned often.
Today, there are also electric violins that send signals via an electrical pickup device. There are also electric violins that work only when plugged in. Electric violins have a solid body design with wiring and batteries found in its body. Being a fairly new invention, electric violin makers today can use their imagination to decide on the shape of the electric violin.
Violins are best bought in violin stores for a better range of violins. There are some violin stores that sell violins from different manufacturers, and some that manufacture their own violins. Some violin stores also rent out violins and sell used violins. As new violins cost between two hundred to twenty thousand dollars, beginners usually rent violins or buy used ones. Whatever the case, make sure that the violin comes with a violin case to provide it protection from any damage.

Have you ever wished to create your own beat? Producing music is fun and can be quite lucrative if you get good at it. In recent years, producing high quality, professional sounding beats has becoming much easier.
It is no longer only for the experts of Hollywood producers with expensive equipment. In fact you can create real studio quality music with just your computer and some beat making software.
There are several of them out there. They range from $30 to over $300 dollars a piece. That doesn't involve the sound loops that are typically separate purchases. In order to produce detailed tracks, you will need thousands of high quality loops.
However, a lot of times they come with more than enough to help you start. Usually you can open the box and be making a beat within minutes.
If you have ever tried to figure out how it works, it is easier than you may think. Beat making software basically synchronizes the sound loops for you and keeps them in tempo with each other.
All you truly need to do is pick the proper loops that go well together, and time the song out. You also usually have the ability to edit or distort loops for even more customization. Your loops should be categorized into common groups like drums, bass, guitars, synth, etc.
Normally they will be broken down further into sub-groups like hi-hat, kick, snare, etc. Now you simply pick your loops and build. Once you get it down, you will have the ability to produce an expert sounding track pretty quickly. What you do next is up to you.
Once you make your own beat, you have a variety of options. You can upload it to the web, you can sell it, or you can lay vocals on top of it. You can do just about anything you want. A lot of people create beats on the web just for fun, but others make a living off of it. It's all up to you.
So which beat creating software is the most effective for you? Before you start dropping hundreds of dollars on expensive beat making software, you may want to consider your options.
I have tried to make use of a number of them from the $30 dollar software all the way up to $300+ and I have to tell you the differences are not huge. Until you have a contract producing music, you really don't need most of the features you get with the $300 package, and frankly, you don't want them. For a good review on a few of the best beat making softwares available, see the website below.
