Welcome to the blog ” Beatles Let It Be ”. In this blog we will be discussing the life and times of the greatest band in the world…"The Beatles", their "Let It Be" album and song, and some of the history of the band as well. Come along for our "Magical Mystery Tour" ride…
The Beatles were a popular musical group formed in Liverpool, United Kingdom in 1960. It consisted of John Lennon (playing rhythm guitar), Paul McCartney (playing bass guitar), George Harrison (playing lead guitar), and Ringo Star (playing drums). Each of the members sang on various songs at various times.
In the beginning, back in March 1957 to be more exact, John Lennon formed a skiffle group called “The Quarrymen”. Paul saw them perform at a church function one day, and joined the group on July of the same year. In March, 2008, George was invited by his friend Paul to see the group perform, and not long after he had joined as the lead guitarist. Finding a drummer was to prove to be a much more formidable task. After drummer changes, and much turmoil we might add, the group settled upon Ringo Star.
In the early years the group perfected their skills and craft in the nightclubs of Hamburg, Germany. Back in Liverpool they performed at the Cavern Club, and their popularity gradually grew.
In January, 1962 the Beatles signed Brian Epstein, a local supporter, to become their manager. He eventually took them to George Martin, a producer at EMI, who eventually signed them to a recording contract.
With their single "Love Me Do", the Beatles entered the UK’s record charts. A subsequent single, “Please please me” was met with much greater support and enthusiasm. With the song “From Me To You” they were on their way to dominating the record charts, and the public’s hearts as well.
Their domination of the US market was to be delayed for various reasons. Eventually, in December, 1963 to be more exact, Capitol Records released “I Want to Hold Your Hand”, and the Beatles domination of the US market was on it’s way as well.
So, with the UK and the US out of the way, what's next? Domination of the world of course! In the years to come the Beatles did either one tour or one concert in Denmark, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, and back in the US.
As the years progressed, and time went on, cracks in the group started to appear. Their final studio album, “Abbey Road”, was recorded in the summer of 1969. The last time all four Beatles were together at one time, in the same studio, was during the recording of the song “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)”.
On September 20, 1969 John announced his departure from the group to his fellow band members. This fact was not made known to the general public until a number of legal matters were resolved. Paul put the "final nail in the coffin of the group" so to speak when he filed a suit for the dissolution of the band on December 31, 1970. This dissolution finally took effect in 1975.
Here at ” Beatles Let It Be ” we are committed to promoting the legacy of this great musical group. Welcome one and all. We do welcome your thoughts and comments.

On May 8, 1970 the Beatles released their 12th and final studio album…“Let It Be”. Due to the formidable tension between the band members at the time, the rehearsals and recording sessions were squabbling filled occasions.
Here is a list of the songs on the Beatles Let It Be Album:
Side #1
1. “Two of Us” (composed by Lennon/McCartney). On this song John Lennon played acoustic guitar, Paul McCartney played the acoustic guitar, and George Harrison played the six-string bass guitar.
2. “Dig a Pony” (composed by Lennon/McCartney)
3. “Across the Universe” (composed by Lennon/McCartney). John Lennon played acoustic guitar while George Harrison played the tamboura.
4. “I Me Mine” (composed by Harrison). Paul McCartney played the Hammond organ and electric piano and George Harrison played the acoustic guitar.
5. “Dig It” (composed by Lennon/McCartney/Harrison/Starkey). John Lennon played the six-string bass guitar while Paul McCartney played the piano.
6. “Let It Be” (composed by Lennon/McCartney). John Lennon played the six-string bass guitar with Paul McCartney on piano.
7. “Maggie Mae” (arrangement by Lennon/McCartney/Harrison/Starkey). John Lennon played acoustic guitar, Paul McCartney played the acoustic guitar, and George Harrison played the six-string bass guitar.
And on…
Side #2
1. “I’ve Got a Feeling” (composed by Lennon/McCartney)
2. “One After 909” (composed by Lennon/McCartney)
3. “The Long and Winding Road” (composed by Lennon/McCartney). John Lennon played the six-string bass guitar with Paul McCartney on the piano.
4. “For You Blue” (composed by Harrison). John Lennon played lap steel guitar, Paul McCartney played the piano, and George Harrison played the acoustic guitar.
5. “Get Back” (composed by Lennon/McCartney). John Lennon played lead guitar.
Many people don't realize that additional musicians were also used on the record. These artists included Richard Anthony Hewson, George Martin, and Billy Preston. Linda McCartney, Paul's wife, sang backing vocals on the song “Let It Be”, but it was uncredited on the album sleeve.
Background
By late 1968 Paul McCartney was feeling that the group should get back into the recording studio. He wanted them to develop an album that made little or no use of “studio magic”. His feelings at the time were that this would allow the group to get back to their roots, and thereby lessen tensions within the band. Sadly, this was not to be…
Finishing Touches
In March, 1970 the session tapes of the actual recordings were given to Phil Spector, an American record producer who had a reputation for inventing the “Wall of Sound”. When he was done with his magic, the album itself was released on May 8, 1970. The Beatles had already broken up by that time.
McCartney was very unhappy with the version that Spector had created and subsequently released. One point in particular, his song “The Long and Winding Road”, which McCartney had intended to be a simple ballad on the piano, had grown into a complex song with orchestral and choral accompaniment. He tried to halt the release of this version of the song, but was unsuccessful in his attempts.
Reception
“Let It Be” met originally with mixed reviews when it was released. This reaction has “mellowed” over the years.

The song “Let it Be” was released by the Beatles in March 1970 as both a single, and as the title track of their new album “Let It Be”. The single reached #1 in the U.S., Australia, Norway, Italy and Switzerland. It's interesting to note that it only made it up to #2 in the United Kingdom.
——————————————————————————————————————————
——————————————————————————————————————————
This song was credited to Lennon/McCartney, but it is generally accepted to be the sole work of Paul McCartney. It was the final single released by the Beatles while they were still considered to be an "active band".
McCartney has said that the idea for the song "Let It Be" came after he had a dream about his mother. This was during the time of those memorably tense recording sessions for the “White Album”. It was Paul's own mother, who died of cancer when he was 14 years old, that was the inspiration for the “Mother Mary” character in the song. Paul has said that the dream was a blessing, and it was great to see his dear mother again. In the dream his mother issued the words “It will be all right, just let it be”. This made it's way into the song.
The first recording of the Beatles Let It Be song was on January 3, 1969 at Twickenham Film Studios. One single take was recorded, with just one Beatle, Paul, on piano and vocals. The first group attempt of the song was on January 8, 1969. The multi-track recordings of the song started on January 23, 1969 at Apple Studios.
On March 26, 1970 the American producer Phil Spector did a remix of the song for inclusion in the “Let It Be” album. His version featured:
- the January 4, 1970 guitar solo (except on the first chorus)
- an echo on Ringo’s cymbals
- and like he did on “The Long and Winding Road”, a more prominent orchestra
Allen Klein had Phil Spector mix the “Let It Be” album without telling Paul McCartney, or asking for his agreement on this matter. He did this because he did not sign Klein’s management contract. Paul later complained that he was not happy with Phil Spector’s production of the song.
Here’s the breakdown of the actual performers on the song:
- Paul McCartney – played piano, maracas, as well as both lead and backing vocals.
- John Lennon – Fender Bass VI.
- George Harrison – lead guitar.
- Ringo Starr – drums.
- Linda McCartney – backing vocals (only on the single release version).
- Bill Preston – organ and electric piano.
The “Let It Be” song has generally received positive critical acclaim overall. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine honored it by ranking it as #20 on it’s list of the “500 Greatest Songs of All Time”.

Have you heard of Brian Samuel Epstein before? Many people consider him the "Fifth Beatle". He was the manager of the Beatles from January 24, 1962 until his death on August 27, 1967. He also managed other musical artists, such as Gerry & The Pacemakers, Cilla Black, Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas, and the Remo Four, but the Beatles were by far the most popular group he managed.

| Beatles Lyrics – Let It Be Big and Tall Lounge Pants for men |
What was the impact of Brian Epstein on the group? Huge!!! He has long been attributed to the success of the Beatles, especially in the early years. In the words of Paul McCartney, “If anyone was the Fifth Beatle, it was Brian”. That about says it all doesn't it?
Brian was born on September 19, 1934 in Liverpool, England. At the age of 16 he expressed his desire to become a dress designer, but his father was mortified at this suggestion. He ordered him to “report for duty” at the family’s furniture shop. This was not Brian’s idea of a meaningful career, but he did comply with his father's wishes (demands).
Supposedly the first time Brian heard of the name "The Beatles" was via the issues of the Mersey Beat, and on the numerous posters that were displayed around Liverpool at that time. On November 9, 1961 he heard them perform live at the Cavern Club. He was immediately impressed with their sound, and their brand of “on stage” humor, it all started from there. The Beatles signed a "5 year contract" for Brian to manage them on January 24, 1962.
This was to be the first time that Brian entered into the arena of “artist management”, but he did have his ideas. He made his impact on their early dress-code, and the attitude that they displayed on stage. He encouraged the group to wear suits, and stopped them from smoking, swearing, drinking or eating onstage. Remember the synchronized bow at the end of the Beatles performances? It was Brian who suggested that move.
Brian made many trips to London on behalf of the Beatles, trying to secure a recording contract for them. He was rejected by many labels. This list includes:
- Columbia
- Philips
- Pye
- Oriole
- Decca
The Decca audition in particular is a historic one. We will be discussing this famous session in another post. Eventually Brian worked his way over to the company EMI, and they were eventually signed by their Parlophone label after the group had been rejected by almost every other company. George Martin, the A&R manager of Parlophone (who had never even see the Beatles play by-the-way) said it was Brian’s enthusiasm that won the deal.
Brian died on August 27, 1967 of a drug overdose. The Beatles did not attend the funeral as they wanted to give his family privacy. They felt that their attendance would only have drawn the media and fans. Years later, in 2008 to be exact, the first contract that the Beatles signed with Brian was auctioned off for 240,000 pounds…

These days the music production business has gone digital with most software similar to digital workstations. Using the best music production software is a must for music producers. Getting the right production software is not a simple task with numerous options available and lots of crappy devices in the market today. Conversely, there are several types of music production software which are authentic and one can purchase for his or her music production.
Prior to purchasing the software a person should look at the prices to be able to acquire one that corresponds with his budget. Additionally, there are less expensive software devices which have similar features as the expensive ones thus it is advisable to check on these features to ensure one gets a fair deal.
For starters we have the musical notation software which is not so common with many people today. This type of software replicates the writing of musical scores using a computer instead of a pen and paper. Another example is the digital audio workstation a former hardware contrivance. Digital audio workstation is a software program designed to edit, record and play digital audio. A lot of music which is being produced today has many features agreeing to the manipulation of the digital audio and incorporation of MIDI sequencing.
We also have samples as forms of music production software. These are forms of digital audio and well known to the outside world of music industry because of their popularity in the contemporary music industry. Samples are generally short pieces of digital music used in all forms of software and installed in the sequencing.
The other form of digital music software is plug-ins. These are small software files used in different digital audio software programs. They allow better functionality to whichever program one is using by adding other features not initially included. A good example is auto tune- in which is created to correct voice pitch.
We have other music production software common in the market today which includes Cubase and reason by Steinberg, sonic producer and cakewalk by sonar. However it is recommended that one gets to find music software that suits him well as some people rather feel comfortable using certain software.

A person might dream of being able to have their computer monitor look like an audio editing pane, with LED windows for displaying various frequencies and other tonal values. Those windows could help you adjust any pitch to the value you desire. Now, dream of being able to get free music mixing software.
A numeric keypad could come in handy for entering the exact numbers you want displayed in the above two windows. They could also be used to select other parts of creating a finished work, and selecting which recording track to write your changes and improvements to.
With a couple more windows to display lists of songs, or sounds, could be useful in retrieving what is needed, and allowing the results to be keep in storage. This could create unlimited combinations of possible entertainment, and result in productions that make you stand out above all others at your craft.
Now you need a waveform to check out how it looks for other types of devices which could be connected to the rig. Other types of electronic controls could be connected to make flashing lights, release fog, or maybe produce special effects that are intended for you to be the one who is the original creator.
Control knobs can be like an extension of your creativity, and to have a couple of banks at your disposal would be great for setting everything to your liking. You might want to tweak just a single sound for a fraction of a second and then control the whole works for many combinations of tones that entertain.
Free music mixing software could be displaying on your computer monitor's screen where all these electronics controls could be at your beckon call. Lights flashing, and volumes going wild, while frequencies and graphics are tempting your creativity into working overtime to leave behind copies of your talent in computer files.

As many people know, American Idol is a cultural anomaly. I know this first hand because I worked on the show during seasons 6-9.
What I am hoping to do is share with you insight on how American Idol works. More than anything, I am sharing with you first hand enlightenment of how a portion of the American Idol machine runs that very few people are aware of.
My employment on American Idol was working every Monday with the contestants producing, engineering and recording their vocals for the full length downloads. I was also responsible for producing, recording, editing and uploading the Idol performance show ring tones to the Fox/AT&T servers for seasons six through nine that many of you probably purchased. It's hard to predict, but during any given week of Idol I played an significant role in about 3-6 Top 10 Billboard & Itune hits every week and selected every ringtone download weekly for every Idol contestant for four seasons straight.
Now, you probably won't find my name associated with any of the top ten hits or ringtones nor will you discover my name when they roll out the credits from the show. In television, film and music, there is what they refer to as "above the line" and "below the line". The big name producers are "above the line" and guys like me fell "below the line". Many others received credit for my individual professional endeavors. Not a big deal as that is just how the industry functions and I am accepting of that. I was comfortable to be part of the cultural phenomenon of this TV show called American Idol. I'll get in to the details more about Idol in later blogs but for this article I want to share with you my experience that lead me to Idol because it was from this path and the experiences as a major label recording artist & subsequent producer that equipped me to work with the contestants. At the core of my experiences, my back story isn't any different from plenty of of the contestants that audition for Idol.
Have I sold millions of records as an artist or a producer? No. Do you know my name? Probably not. But what I do have that very few of the people participating in Idol do not have is that I was a major label singer/artist, songwriter, and am a music producer, among other ventures. And, probably the most important part of this whole experience is that I've spent time on "the other side of the glass". What that means is that I have survived in the recording studio vocal booth recording vocals for many years. I have experienced what it feels like to blunder in the studio singing. I know. I labored when I did my first recording sessions. It's difficult. I also know what it is like to excel in the studio as, the more I sang on songs in the studio and recorded, the better I got. Quite a few artists are either a decent live singer or a so so studio singer. Not too many are both. I was one of the rare few that was good at both.
So, my experience is first hand. I know what it takes to write a song, record a song, sing the song in the studio, perform that song live, tour, promote, do phoner's, videos and interviews, etc. These are several of the reasons that I related so much to the contestants and why many of them could relate to me. With the exception of being on a TV show, everything they were experiencing or about to experience, I had experienced already.

Drum circles are a traditional way to celebrate, mourn, heal, and meditate, and they have been around for thousands of years. Over the past few years, we've been seeing people gathering in drum circles at festivals and for other celebrations. Drum circles are also often held as workshops where people of all ages can join in with different drums and percussion and learn what it is like to connect with the rhythm.
Anthropology tells us that the earliest native peoples got together to make music and to share stories and celebrate. Additionally, drumming was a method of communication between communities. Drumming continues to remain a part of native cultures around the world.
Drum circles are a tranquil activity in which to take part, and players commonly enter a state of deep contemplation. The heartbeat of the base tones' vibrations can actually cause your body to relax and unwind, if you allow it. While some may think of drumming as a high energy activity, it really depends on the group playing. All kinds of people can participate in drum circles, and a lot of gatherings are oriented specifically around the elderly and kids. A drum circle isn't just about making music but is also about its healing effects as well as the forming of a community. For some, the drum can be quite difficult to play, so for those that are having difficulty playing one, other instruments, such a shakers, claves, and even guiro can be used.
Also drum circles can be used to heal. Drumming can be used as physical therapy or even as a means of expression for those who may not be able to communicate with words, for example children with speech difficulties or even conditions like autism. Everybody is an equal and can express themselves while they are drumming.
Drum circles also create a sense of community. By their nature, they bring people together, to dance, sing, play and share. The drumming itself can be like a conversation, depending on how it is played it can say many different things. Low tones with a steady rhythm form the heartbeat of the music and high tone hits act as punctuation.
Playing in a group can help you improve as a percussionist, as well. When playing with others, listening is a necessity, although it is often overlooked. Some players pound away without any concern for other players. When in a drum circle, listen for adjustments so you can change your music to continue the ebb and flow that naturally happens. With a little bit of practice, you might discover that you are capable of guiding the direction of a drum circle when you change the music's tempo and beat.
Thinking about buying a djembe drum? Be sure to visit the Djembe Drum Shop, as you will certainly find a great variety of drums and percussion instruments. Packs for training centers and drumming groups also available at www.djembedrumshop.com.

Previously, learning guitar could only be done with the aid of a tutor and/or books. Fortunately now, you can do it online using well thought out and extensive guitar training. These normally include video clips, so you get the benefits of getting your own tutor to make things a little simpler.
The type of acoustic guitar you need to discover with need not be an expensive one. In fact, I recommend you don't invest hundreds of dollars before you are absolutely sure this is for you. If you truly get into it, you can always trade up to a better quality one. Should you prefer to not use an online learning system, additionally, it is possible to get beginner packages that will consist of books as well as videos to get you started.
Do not expect to perform like a expert immediately, as with most things, you'll need years of practice to do that. Nevertheless, it should not take too long to be able to pluck or strum a recognisable melody. The trick is to learn the basics first and begin with a few easy chords and build on that. The more you practice, the faster learning to play guitar will be.
When looking for books for learning guitar, you will find many recommended ones. Go for the one that has the most recommendations that you are able to afford. Amazon is quite good for this and can frequently permit you to sneak-a-peek inside the publications before you buy. If you purchase a guitar package, as stated above, you can often get books and videos included in the package.
If you can't get on with what can be considered a limited range of tuition in the free packs and need more help or just want to specialise in a specific kind of music, and can't afford a private teacher, then guitar lessons for beginners using an online course might be for you. There's a couple of very good ones that not only demonstrates the basics, but also gives you ideas and support for your selected style of music, be that rock, blues, pop or folk etc. You will also find that the program allows you to 'play along' with the experts at your personal speed.
It is always good to learn guitar fast, but this is something you should not focus on. The best practice is to don't start too fast, and not spend all day, every day trying. This will be frustrating as well as quickly put an end to your attempts. Cut yourself some slack and understand you are only human!
I know it sounds very boring, but learning the actual chords, scales and how to study music will save you time in the long term; even if you have an 'ear' for music. So good luck, take it slow and take the advice given you in the books and movies you have. Don't attempt to skip ahead of the recommendations given and you'll soon learn guitar fast by using guitar lessons for beginners.
Come and try out these free Blues Guitar Lessons and decide for yourself what type of beginner lessons for guitar are for you!

Surround sound which was hitherto used only for home entertainment purposes can now be seen even in the car audio market. The 3d listening system uses sound and ambiance of a very wide frequency range. It requires some time and patience to let it be fixed properly in your car but you will be very happy with the results.
Just identify the best position in the car where you can fix the speakers and also the subwoofers. They should be located as near to the passengers as possible for them to enjoy the best sound from the car audio system.
The four speakers should occupy the corners of the car including the subwoofers. Which means the speakers will go just above the ear level in order to give the optimum sound quality.
It produces maximum power, so you will need a five channel amplifier system, to make your speakers get enough power for the perfect sound.
It is imperative that the center speaker goes into the dashboard and the tweeter incorporated therein. This is the type which gives high frequency.
